How are Big Bumpers made?
We use a refined manufacturing process, using only the finest quality materials. The bumpers are similar in weight and strength to inflatable boats – the material is four-layer strong, a combination of woven fabric plus pad coat and PVC, to resist weathering and mildew.

Can my Big Bumper be used as a flotation device or a floating step?
No. Big Bumpers are not approved flotation devices and should NEVER be used as a floating step.

Does my Big Bumper come with a pump?
No. Big Bumpers have standard H3 valves and easily inflate/deflate with standard pumps.

How do I care for my Big Bumper?
Your Big Bumper is made to last with almost no maintenance.
Wash with mild soap and water, and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Allow to dry completely before storage.
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from chemicals.
How much air should I put into my Big Bumper?
The amount of air in a Big Bumper is a matter of personal preference. Experiment with different levels.
To prevent serious damage to seams, do not over-inflate.
Why does air leak out immediately after inflating my Big Bumper?
The valve is not in the correct position (closed) before inflating.

Do Big Bumpers expand or shrink with extreme temperature changes?
Be careful not to overinflate your Big Bumper, as it will expand slightly when exposed to heat and direct sunlight.
In the winter, Big Bumpers will shrink some when the temperature drops significantly.
Can I use my Big Bumper in salt water?
Yes. Big Bumpers do well in rivers, lakes, and oceans.
